What’d I tell her

Pg101-136 prompt #49

If I was able to talk to the author of this book I would first tell her what inspired her to write this book about the Holocaust because there’s many other genres to write about. Also I would tell her how long did it take her to write this book. Also how long did it take you to learn all about the holocaust because she learned both sided for this book she wrote about what the nazis thought and why they did it and what the Jews thought and did.

who would like this

Pg94-101Prompt#76

People that like history would like this book because it has a lot of real events that happened like the hitler youth group and the genocide of the Jewish people. People that also like suspense would like this because you get to know what they were feeling and how they wanted to do to escape from the death camps. And If you like books that teaches you a lesson or informs you this book is for you. And if you want to learn about the holocaust and why the Germans elected Hitler and what Hitler did to hold his power you probably should read this book.

What I learned

Pg 88-94 prompt#23

What I leaned while I was reading the book is that Germans wanted someone to blame so they blamed the Jews,And Hitler saw that as an opportunity to go run for office, Becuase the Germans wanted to be in power again so they elected Hitler. I also found out that they wrote on Shops that were owned by Jews. I also learned that hitler created a youth group so he can stay in office longer.

Why and why not?

Pg70-88,prompt #55

I think people that are sentive to the topic of death shouldn’t read this book because it’s about the Holocaust and the Holocaust is about death. Also if you don’t like reading it’s 202 pages,so I don’t suggest it to people who don’t like reading because it’s long. In the other hand if you aren’t sensitive about these topics I would suggest you reading it because it informs you about the holocaust while keeping you entertained.

Why the author wrote it

Pg53-70prompt #68

I think the author wrote the boy who dared becuase she wanted to inform younger kids about the holocaust. Another reason is maybe she had family that really experienced the holocaust and she wanted to write a book about it. She also showed what the Jews were feeling during the holocaust and how the nazis said there evil, she also showed why the Germans voted for hitler because He said he’ll make Germany powerful and that they won’t suffer no more. This showes that she showed both point of views so she informs the reader about why they did it.

What’s next

 42ー56 Prompt 73

I think that opa is going to follow what the nazis are asking because they don’t want to get caught not following their instructions because you get punished if you don’t but I think there might be a chance she might not listen because she knows it’s wrong because she didn’t think when the nazis said too not shop in Jews shops because there evil and that they will try to kill you.

Three reasons

Prompt#88,36-42

Three reason why this book should be taught to the whole class is because it talks about the holocaust, and the holocaust was a real thing it was when nazis killed over 5 million Jews. Another reason why this should be taught to a class is it teaches life lessons, because just because you don’t like a certain person or an ethnic group or any group doesn’t mean you need to be aggressive towards them. Another reason is to show people that this still happens in the world because there are still ethic groups and religion groups getting hate or killed

What I didn’t know

Prompt 72,28-36

Things I didn’t know that happened is that many people that hated Hitler voted for him because he said that Germans had suffered already because they were really poor, also I didn’t know there was a hitler youth group. A hitler youth group made kids like hitler so they can join the nazis when they are older. This shows that hitler wanted to be in office for a long time because he had young generation supporting him.

I wonder what…

Prompt 1, Pages 16-28

The boy who dared is a book that starts off with memories like, Opa said that Hitler frightens her and that they think an executor is coming towards them so he can kill them. Another one is when they were in a classroom and 6th graders learn that Hitler was swarm into office they started to chant “Hail Hitler” and they were all part of a Hitler youth group. They also remember that the teachers were arguing about Hitler’s one that he’ll help Germany and an other that says he’s just a lunatic. One of the SA’s hands a boy a leaflet and tells him we need more soldiers like you.
